Logline:

A string of supernatural disappearances coincides with certain high schoolers also developing psychic powers, tied to music. As these high schoolers are tasked with hunting a serial killer, the story follows relationships, parents, and other stories.

Episode One: Turn to Stone

pgs 1-5 : Becky Graham goes to a party, but meets a mysterious demise.

pg 6: Song: Candace: [TURN TO STONE] We are introduced to Candace, Jodi, and Liz at school.

pgs 7-8 We meet Jabari, his older sister Asana, and their parents

pg 9: We meet Principal Martin and Mrs. Beansly.

pg 10: Candace, Jodi, and Liz talk about Candace’s ex and The Dance.

pg 11-12: Becky’s parents go to the police station, which dispatched Deps. Bobby and Charlie.

pg 13: We introduce John Simon, a perceptual genius. Him, Theo, Jabari and Marley discover that John Simon has suddenly developed strange psychic powers. John Simon and Theo use his new powers to cheat on a test. He is dating Carmela Sanchez. Carmela’s best friend Asana doesn’t like that Carmela spends so much time with John Simon. Carmela leaves Asana in the dust to go with John Simon.

  • Later, JS sees and hears Becky, who warns him of a murderer in town.

Episode Two: Check In

pg 1: JS has a dream about Becky.

pgs 2-3: Theo is called into the Principal’s office

pgs 4-6: JS, Jabari and Marley use John Simon’s powers to stage a heist on Gov O’Malley’s office. They narrowly escape the Deputies, and arrive back at school.

pg 7- 11: The Deputies arrive on school. They bring Jabari and Marley in for questioning. The Deputies save JS and Theo’s ass, confirming Becky has gone missing.

pg 12: The Deputies continue to question Mark, who was there at the party.

pg 13- : Song: [SOPHIE INTRO] We meet Sophie, who is struggling to make friends. We learn Sophie and Asana used to be besties, before Asana left her for Carmela and her new friend group.

-: Jabari and Marley sneak back into the Governor’s Office. Jabari gets arrested.

  • At Asana’s encouragement, JS and Carmela have a nasty fight, leading to a breakup. Asana starts expressing strange powers.

  • The cops discover strange cornflowers out in the woods.

Episode Three

pgs1-3 Carmela goes out with Asana and Olivia. Carmela kisses Asana, and runs away embarassed. Carmie thinks she hears Becky’s voice. She follows it, and disappears mysteriously.

Pg 4 - Candace and Jodi

Pg 5- JS has a dream about Carmie.

Pgs 6 - the next day at school, everybody knows about the breakup.

Pg 10 Song: [OLIVIA INTRO] At school, Olivia stirs the pot. She confronts Asana about ditching her, and to “get back” at John Simon, she flirts with him, as well as Jodi’s crush Dylan as a casualty. This ruffles Candace’s feathers, and the two of them face off.

  • Pg 15- Asana begins getting supernatural visions of Carmela in danger through TV and radio static. She starts freaking out, compounded by the fact she can’t find her brother either. JS and Asana have a shared vision of the alley.

  • Pg 16- JS’ visions compound at home, and the cops show up.

  • Asana goes to Carmie’s parents house, they all go to the Sheriff’s office.

  • Asana gets a call from Jabari, and goes to the jail to pick him up.

  • Meanwhile, JS also gets visions of the alley. They bump into each other, and have a shared vision. JS and Theo go investigate the alley, where they find Carmela’s shoe.

Episode Four

  • JS, along with Theo, Jabari, and Marley, use the shoe as a lead to investigate the killer. It leads them to a strip mall where Rory works. Rory escapes narrowly, and becomes alert of the fact that he’s being hunted.

  • Candace meets Sophie. They instantly hit it off.

  • JS receives an anonymous letter, strangely detailing the killer’s whereabouts at a certain date and time.

Episode Five: The Big Dance

  • Sophie falls in with a group of friends, who she goes to The Dance with.

  • Mrs. Beansly recruits JS and his band to play at The Dance.

  • Candace and Sophie bond at the dance.

  • At The Dance, Rory shows up to find John Simon, and follow him home to see where he lives.

  • Asana sits out of the dance with a sick feeling. She recieves a message through the TV static seeing a lake. She urges Liz and Jabari to take her there, where Carmela’s body is revealed.

Episode Six

6 months later…

  • The Deputies show up to launch a full-scale investigation of the students. At the conclusion, they arrest John Simon.

    • JS’ friends manage to bail him out in time to meet his intended appointment

  • Song: [EDDIE LOVE SONG]

  • We’re introduced to Eddie and his gang.

  • Asana has spent the last 6 months grieving. In this time, Sophie has gone to her friend and the two have grown very close.

  • JS arrives at the restaurant. He manages to put in motion a strategy to weed out the killer. Rory is on a date with Mrs. Beansly. It is almost successful.

    • After Rory escapes, he meets Eddie at the gas station. He is forced to apprehend him after evidence surfaces from earlier in the night.
